Reunion Plans have been mailed and we are gearing up for yet another fantastic time together. The 497th FIS Members are the greatest group of men you will ever meet! My life has been so blessed by meeting the ones who have taken time and made the effort to gather with us each year for a time of memories and fellowship!
I, Wanda, am so proud to be the wife of one of these great men! His love and memories of his time with the 497th FIS is what prompted me to spend many long hours trying to locate men he served with in this squadron! What a thrill! It has been worth every minute & every phone call; not to mention the frustration of trying to locate those with no land line. Determination is the key!!
My thanks to each of you for your service to our great country and thanks to those who have been so faithful to attend the yearly reunions. It is my desire to see a large number of you in St. Louis September 13 - 15. Please contact me for details or go to "Announcements" on the website for details.

Plans for the 2012 "497th Fighter Interceptor Squadron Reunion" are in progress. St. Louis, MO was elected by the members at the San Antonio Reunion. Dates are undetermined at this time as it is still early. My plans are to work with hotels offering complimentary shuttle service. The expense of Taxis and City Shuttles have become a real expense. The official invitation will be sent out in February as usual. Hopefully a variety of photos (as well as a few newly located members)from San Antonio will soon be posted on our website; <a rel=’nofollow’ href=’http://www.497th-fis.com’ target=_blank>www.497th-fis.com</a>
