Just got my D star rig today. Spent the first half of the day programming, the second half figuring out what I did wrong. This is what it’s all about. I’m learning a new radio and a new mode. I’m actually loving every minute of this. The excitement of hearing that first voice coming through the d star repeater was exhilarating . I’m looking forward to trying to make my first contact tomorrow, and hoping for more D star repeaters in the future! Great site, guys. Keep up the good work.

Thanks very much for all the work which went into this excellent kit. I have been using the DV adapter in the car the last few days here in SE CT. It works as well as I had hoped and the benefit of being able to use it on any radio with some minor jumper changes and settings is a huge plus. The kit went together in about 2 hours and worked the first time I applied power. Not only does it work well, it looks very cool too. I am using the adapter in my 2007 Prius with a Yaesu FT7900R. I’m looking forward to some new modifications and enhancements, I can only imagine what they might be. |

I’m a new ham getting my license this summer, and chose to get an icom 706 mkiig as my base rig. I enjoy it’s portability and mobile option, but it works well as a base for my needs. Your d-star adapter’s support of the 706 line is a great comfort to me, and will likely be my option of choice when I delve into d-star. I also like that your adapter pulls about 2 amps, which fits nicely into the typical amp budget for a 25amp dc power supply used for the 706. ;P
Please keep it up, I hope you will consider options for DD support so folks can run video and other broadband applications of d-star. Thanks for your hard work with this mode. |

Congratulations on the website, maybe more of them
Had great fun with D-Star from 2007, setting it up in Australia. It always makes me happy to see hams enjoying this great mode, And congratulations to those running HF D-Star on 10m with the IC-9100
