Hello. How fascinating to see such a wealth of information. I found you when trying to research W.E. "Buck" Travis, of Pacific Greyhound. I am currently residing on his former vacation property in Oregon and have tried to learn more about him.
I have seen various publications about the formation of his Greyhound line, and the collaboration with Southern Pacific. Also, I found information about his Pickwick operation.
But I know nothing personal and have no picture. Perhaps you have more sources.
Thank you very much for anything you could contribute.

Hi Duncan, thanks for sending me the link to your website. Quite a bit of work and history! - i look forward to having more time to read through it and learning more about the history of Greyhound, especially in Tennessee. Great job!

Great site! I believe you could help me with a bit of research into a project that I’ve been planning for years. It would involve some information on NYC - Chicago bus routes and fares in the late 1940s. Would you happen to have any reference material, or know where I might seek it?
Many thanks,
Bruce in Florida |

| This was very good reading. It told me a lot about my favorite corporation, GM and it’s history. You put everything in it’s proper perspective and now I understand why things happened when they did. I hope you don’t mind me cutting and pasting this for my own archives. |

Quite a piece of work to say the least. I was sent this essay because I expressed an interest in the changeover sequence between the 1200 series and the three digit series . And how many of the 1200 series were used, I know of the 1210 and the 1209 (?) Cruiserette. Were there others?
At the end I saw a reference to a publication from Upper Montclair, NJ, which happens to be where I was born and grew up. Had that to do with Don Coffin by chance?
Thank you for this fine work. Budd Sloat |

I own a professionally converted PDG 3701.
The interior is all formica with a vinyl headliner.
It slept 8 when we got it.
We modified that so it was better suited to our needs.

| Hi Doc! I found you through a wikipedia article about my great-grandfather, Morgan Walker Sr. I stopped by to see if you had any more information on him. I would love to see whatever you might have! |

Hi Doc!
As I’ve already had the chance to tell you, this site is amazing!!! History is made by these little pieces of information, by common life and common people, not only by great events and personages. Past must not be forgotten and your work is a contribution to hand it down to posterity. Many things get lost because no one takes the trouble to write them down.
I do hope you’ll be able to publish more news, maps and even pictures. You’ll make this site even greater! |

| Thanks, Doc, for that comprehensive history of Greyhound and your personal recollections of growing up as a child of Greyhound. I, too, was the child of a Greyhound driver, H.C. Isom of Birmingham, Alabama. He drove from the early Forties until his retirement at age 65 in 1979. I notice you grew up in Nashville, another arm of Southeastern Greyhound. And I notice you attended David Lipscomb HS. I attended David Lipscomb College my first year out of high school. That was academic year 1957-58. Then I returned to Birmingham and after working for a year, finished college at Birmingham-Southern. I’m writing a memoir and a few of the stories center on my father and racial incidents that occured during the civil rights era. I’m interested in the policies of Southeastern Greyhound during those difficult years. I’d like to hear from you about that. Again, I thorioughly enjoyed your memoir and congratulate you for your profound memory. Best wishes, Chervis Isom, Birmingham, AL |
