ex Norfolk gal, now in Dorset, coming to the Lifeboat for 3 days at Christmas. What a brilliant site! Well done. Looking forward to staying in the village and walking our dog. Any particular walks we can do? ( Poo bags will be carried!) |

Just discovered your first class site - searched for my Brooke family in vain. They were the millers and bakers for much of the 19th century - Loombe, then wife Elizabeth nee Baney and, finally, their son Robert till 1891. Robert’s son then pops up in Sunny Hunny running the Le Strange, Pier and the Kit Kat. Anyone with info please let me know here in far off Kings Lynn where more of the family settled and retuned to in 1976. Elizabeth’s grandson (from first husband Carpenter) was Mayor of Lynn in 1902/3 and presented the fountain in the Walks to the town.
Best wishes to all the readers |

| Hi, I’ve just stumbled upon this site whilst looking for a suitable village in N Norfolk to potentially move to, at the moment we live on the Isle of Wight but in three years time we retire and are considering a move to Norfolk for the birding and wildlife. If anyone sees this message who already lives in the area I’d be grateful for any advice on where best to move to to be well placed for birding but safe from flooding; great site. |

I have enjoyed everything I can find about Thornham.
I was born there in 1943 and lived at 3 Green Lane until
1961, I have seen some familiar faces in the photo’s.
Keep up the good work
