Hi Jan
Have just read your story, you are a real fighter, this is such a terrible disease. My dad died from Mesothelioma, he unfortunately was diagnosed too late to have any worth while treatment so it was just pallative care. Even now it makes me so angry that this disease is not diagnosed more quickly.
My family & I now try to raise money for research and awarness of asbestos diseases.
Would it be okay for me to post a link on our website as think your story should be read by as many people as possible.
Keep fighting it, take care of yourself.

Should have signed in sooner. This is a great site and will be a huge help to fellow sufferers like myself. Thank you for this and all the other work you do.
It is frustrating when the medics can’t or just aren’t interested in other treatments. Obviously because they aren’t available here. I wonder how long it will take, maybe another 1,000 more sufferers to add to the growing list. It’s like a dangerous road until a certain number are killed they do something. Well in reality we are being killed by the Government, the buck stops there.

Good luck with the new website.
I’ll try and pass on as much information as I can on treatments etc.....
Is there anybody out there who has managed to obtain PCT funding for treatment ? We are battling for funding for Chemoembolization and I’ll make sure that I let Jan know when we get it as we will not stop pursuing this until it happens !!!
To all out there - there is hope but you need to take the initiative as unfortunately it will not come to you and don’t believe everything that you are told especially by medics who do not have a clue or are not up to speed about the options available !!! |
