Rolando,
Many thanks for that. You must really love the Pioneer to have built 6 of them!!. Maybe one day a group of the UK Pioneer owners
might fly down to visit the factory, I know of one or two who have said they would like to. You never know we might meet.
All the best

Well done!! Now you are a owner of a magnificent plane as Pioneer 300!! Congratulations for it and for your nice web site. I am a Pioneer’s home builder and since 1998 to nowaday I built 6 of them. But the first fly it’s always something that I remember from every each... Ciao from Italy

Nick,
Thanks for that, we have done about 3 hours flying this weekend including my first land away at Framlingham to see a fellow Pioneer builder. Both Jackie and I are really enjoying it.
We will be able to do some fly outs with the Circus now and we are looking forward to them.
See you soon.

Kevin, I am glad you have found my site useful, its the reason I wanted to do it. I have always found there is never enough information around for these sort of projects.
Hope your build goes well. And I will let you know if I am down your way.
Regards

John,
Many congratulations on your first flight (which I’ve only just caught up with). It must have been a marvellous moment especially when John Brownlow called the tower to tell you that you had a very nice aeroplane.
I’ve found your whole account over these last 15 months really inspiring. I have zero mechanical or electrical background and have found my build very challenging and very slow, but deeply satisfying nonetheless. Fortunately I’ve had a lot of help from a local friend, Derek Raymer, who was an apprentice with Rolls Royce and de Havilland, about fifty years ago. We’ve just finished the cowling and I think we did a really nice job. Now I still have to do the upholstery (which like you I’m farming out), the panel, the fuel tanks and then the putting of it all together. Tim Skinner at Abergavenny has been really helpful, and I’m hoping to take the plane there for the final assembly.
But, congratulations again. It was great to read of your success, of the test flights, and to see the great finish you’ve got. I won’t be going for your level of avionics; just a simple fit, with a lovely Becker radio and transponder mode S plus a Skymap III (I followed you in going to Harry Mendelssohn, who was a pleasure to deal with.
Enjoy your flying (well, how couldn’t you?). If you ever come to Compton Abbas please let me know ahead of time.
Best wishes
