Great tribute! Hoping to make contact with Larry Luko of this site. I work as volunteer with Delaware State Parks Fort Miles. As you probably know, Operation Bumblebee was at Fort Miles Delaware before going to Topsail (then called Sand-Spit) Island.
We’re doing research for a book and museum to be opened at Fort Miles. We are trying to establish the presence of the USMC Guided Missile Training Unit at Fort Miles during the Bumblebee time-frame (2 Jan 1946 - Feb 1947). We have established the presence of a detachment of the US Army 1st Guided Missile Battalion. Any help appreciated. E-mail is Thank you. |

| Was reviewing your Father’s record. Great job in honoring him. From everything I’ve read, pre-WWII being stationed in Shanghai with 4th Marine Regiment was one of the greatest honors. A China Marine! Had the opportunity during my career to be with 4th Marines stationed at Camp Schwab Okinawa. Semper Fi and Ooooh Raaaaahhhh |
