I have enjoyed looking through your website.
I’m trying to figure out how the Chewaneprenisi and Pigeau line fit together. I have done alot of research and haven’t been able to figure this out. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Hello Irene, I was just wondering how things were coming along with your Webmaster and if the additional information I provided on my Grandmother (Jeanne D’Arc McGregor) was going to be updated on the site? Her father was Regis McGregor. "Richard (Regis) MCGREGOR was born on 28 September 1862 in Maniwaki, QC, Canada. He was the son of Richard Robert MCGREGOR and Célanie CHENE, and was baptized on 29 October 1862 in Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption, Maniwaki, QC, Canada. He married Virginie VILLENEUVE in 1883. He married Margaret FRENCH on 10 December 1891 in North Bay, ON, Canada. He and Délima CLEMENT began living together circa 1906 after his brother George died in 1904. (REGIS AND DELIMA ARE MY GRANDMOTHERS PARENTS AS SHOW ON HER BAPTISMAL CERTIFICATE THAT I SENT YOU) He died on 8 October 1918 in Cochrane, ON, Canada, at the age of 56. He was buried in October 1918 in Cochrane, ON."
Hope to hear from you again soon.
All the best to you this long weekend and Happy Easter!!

Hi,
I am trying the find the family tree of my father who was Horace Renaud, his fater Emile Renaud and his fater Dosithe Renaud. I have a record from Mathurin Renaut and Marie Peltier married on October 7, 1669 to Michel Renaud married Marie-Archange Allard on January 28, 1799. I have come at a road block when another Michel (son of Michel Renaud and Marie-Archange Allard) married an Algonquin women Julie Latour on November 25, 1828. If you could help that would be great, or if you think you might also be in the same family tree or if you would just like to say hi please email me.
thanks,
Richard Renaud |

Well since no one is willing to post messages in my guestbook, but are contacting me directly, then, I will post a message, that I did attend the 100 Centenaire de Quérin 1908-2008. Quérin, Qc, 100 years reunion... what a great time we had.. it was so strange opening the books for sale and seeing the face of your grandfather Alfred Bastarache and greatgrand-parents, Pierre Desormeaux and Mathilde Lacelle..
What a surprise to finally after 20 years or more of doing research and never thinking of lookin in Quérin for them...
Now I know to look in Hawesbury, ON also.
As we walked the streets, the ireeeeee feeling creeping about.. it felt as though our ancestor were walking with us.
There was 450 people for supper, our name tag stated Bastarache and Desormeaux... it was amazing the people who stopped us.. with there stories of how many times over the years.. hearing there parents mention those names.... We came back with so much pride and joy... Memories never to be forgotten... |
