We visited the Dordogne river house in August 2010 with a family of 5. The house is wonderful, it’s surprisingly large (pics on website don’t do it justice) rich with French character but with all the modern comforts. There is plenty of space to dine and space for a bit of "alone" time with that book you wanted to finish. It was pretty hot when we were there, but the house cools at night so it’s fine to sleep.

The village itself is quiet; the neighbours are friendly and helpful if you have questions. There is a Boulangerie Artisan and walks along the river to the villages either side and beyond.
Location is spot on, within 30 mins of lots of activities from canoeing to caving, water parks and Bastides. Didn’t I mention the wine? You are smack in the middle of the Percharmant region which for the €5-7 you pay at the Chateau rivals the more well known Bordeaux reds. It’s close to the Bergerac airport too.

Even though we were close to the river, we felt the children were safe around the village and they had a great holiday with lots of new learning experiences, making friends at the local festivals etc.

We would happily stay again; owner was really helpful with any questions. Absolutely recommended.

Filip.

Just wanted to say thanks for a wonderful stay in October 2009. Both me and my wife were very impressed with your beautiful house and the geographical location as it ensured that we had a wonderful time.

We both look forward to staying at one of your properties in the future. I will ensure that I give you a mention on Tripadvisor as I feel people are missing out on a hidden gem here.

Thanks again
Paddy
