Staying with Ronnie and Jill even for a couple of days was so much more relaxing than our poky holiday apartment in Varna.The garden is a little oasis and if you want more exercise you can always take a walk round the block.

Would just like to add our thanks to Jill and Ronnie for there hospitality and helpful advice. We turned up at Resen lodge without any prior booking very hot and sticky after a night traveling then a day of being mucked around and were greeted by a smiling Jill who prepared a room for us in no time at all and invited us to dip in the pool while this was being prepared. They then offered us furthere helpful advice for the rest of our stay in VT even though we were not staying with them including a further dip in the pool when the temperatures soured to 40+ degrees last week. They are truly remarkable people and I would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone as previously stated lovely people and lovely accommodation.( Hello also to Kelly and Holly and best wishes Jill for the new arrival)

We’ve just come back from BG and spent 2 nights at Resen Lodge during our holiday.
Ronnie & Jill are very nice, welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful. The accommodation is top class, spotlessly clean and just what is needed after a long day! Resen Lodge is a lovely place to stay, we all enjoyed our stay and would recommend Resen Lodge to anyone.
My kids had a fantastic time and are itching to go back!
A big thank you to Ronnie and Jill (plus the girls Holly & Kelly) for making us feel so welcome.

We arrived in VT last saturday thinking our accomodation was all sorted only to find out it wasnt and went into panic mode after trying all the hotels listed in the VT guide only to find they were all fully booked - well yes it is Christmas we were only doing a flying visit as we say up north and were beginning to think the car was our best option when we remembered reading about the resen lodges big opening party on the forum ... we rang only to find they were closed for the winter but they tried to put us in touch with someone who might be open .. at this point we were so tired and hungry - having just driven from sofia - that i could hardly string two words together and taking down the phone numbers offered was becoming an impossible task... 8pm isnt that late but it had been a very long day !!
it was at this point that the lovely jill said just come over i will make you a room up.. she even offered to send ronnie over to pick us up.... we gratefully accepted her offer and headed over.
the room was lovely as was the bathroom and jill and ronnie and their two little ones - both suffering from chicken pox - were wonderful, cant thank you enough guys and we will be back next time, ronnies home made red was the icing on the cake ...
Resen is a much bigger village than i thought and jill and ronnie are the perfect hosts so just go there

Hi Thanks Ronnie and Gill for a fantastic stay. Your place is like an oasis when you still trying to get over the culture shock. Will recommned Resen Lodge to all who needs accomodation in BG.

visited resen lodge last year while on a vist to VT. fantastic place with fantastic host, ronnie and gill. Sundays are fun !!Recommend Resen lodge to everyone.

Weekend break. We had husbands and 2 dogs with caravan. Very warm welcome and were treated as part Jill and Ronnies family. Brilliant weekend all around. Dogs included loved it. Hope to stay again soon. Recomended for a good all round holiday. See you so
