I have found them in a book by Tenney Smith, printed 1938, titled Charles Smith and Rachel Amy Bryant their ancestors and descendants.

Hi, I’m sorry that I can’t help you with England Vose’s.
Haven’t done any research outside the US except Robert Vose who came to America in 1654 from Lancashire, England with his family. Hope to expand to England in the near future.

Do you have information about the Vose family in England? I am looking for information about John Vose, for research purposes. He was married to Elisabeth Vose, children William, John and Ann. He owned a Confectionery business (Vose’s Toffee / Toffy?) and I am mainly interested in the premises he had in Newcastle and sold to Maynards.

I would be most grateful for any help!

Hi. My great-great grandfather was Thomas Vose Brundige of Baltimore, Maryland (born 1820, died 1903). I have found no mention of a Vose relative although my family normally uses family names for the middle name. It is possible the Vose name came from a Worthington or Risteau family. Do you have any records of a Vose in the Maryland area in the late 18th century or early 19th century?

i was just browsing the vose name history, and i realized under charles vose’s personal tree, there were several voses from the broken bow/custer county NE area. this happens to be where i’m from and i had never heard those names before. write me if you are interested in gathering any info from me and central nebraskan vose clan.
