| What can I say except WELL DONE to the organisers of Aberdare Show 2010 with all of the bad press & lack of support from RCT you have done a great job,The abundance of charity stalls in the park show all of the community what the event is about, HELPING OTHERS, I realise that Aberdare Show Co Ltd is a NON PROFIT making organisation but you have to make ends meet we can all appreciate that & the small entrance fee was well worth it, I was dissapointed that the Cancer Research UK committee felt that they would not have a stall there this year as the event has always been associated with cancer research in one form or another, but times change, I was sorry to read in The Cynon Valley Leader that you had lost a major sponser this year which led to the lack of main arena attractions, hopefully for next year you will get some backing from local bussiness, once again well done. |

Well we pulled it of; the Aberdare Show did have a good weekend. The event that was troubled from the start of the year rose from the Ashes like a Phoenix. The show over all was well attended by the residence of Aberdare. The main arena needs some help but we don’t seem to have the groups in the community as years ago. I can only say sorry for that but what we did have was fun. Jeff & George doing the tug of war was a laugh with team’s coming from the crowed. Steve Tozer joint organizer put together a great parade for the walk around the park. Not wishing to pat the team on the back but well done to us all. The biggest thank you must go to Streetwise who held a huge crowd mesmerized for two days with some very Hot dancers. Thank you all for your support.

Just returned from the aberdare show. Parade was good fun, well done to Streetwise dance group and the colleg morganwg fancy dress crowd and Lady Gaga in particular. A good local event that deserves great recognition. Well done to the organisers, let ’whatsonrct’ know for next year.. |

I went on the website expecting colour gallery photos of last years show to get the kids excited to come this year. Pictures of a lamborghini and some exotic beach doesn’t show what fun the children could be having in aberdare park! The show is not featured on ’whatsonrct’ either which surely is losing loads of potential custom. Come on organisers lets get some show pictures on quick to drum up some interest. |

I heard in the town centre this week that the carnival is cancelled due to lack of funding - can you please clarify. Hope it isn’t.
Also heard that people can camp in the park overnight - is this true as well? |
