Adeeb. You are my neighbour in this big world of masses of churning bodies.
They move randomly, or not.
They shift silently from place to place.
Yet with great internal noise.
Someone cries out
a child cries for comfort
a women cries for her child
a man weeps for his daughter
an old man weeps for his youth
a house weeps at its history
the history weeps for its soul
but the soul is lost in the sea of bodies
That make no noise, yet cry and weep.
And the sea moves randomly
or not.....
A building full of tennants weeps aloud
Makes a loud noise
attracts attention
because the silent pain permeates the walls
breaks the glass
cracks the floors
the carpets turn red
with unshed tears
the pain soaks in
flows out the doors
over the balconies
along the passages
down the lifts and stairs
Looking for the drain leading to the sea.
And your neighbour watches and cries.
Silently .... |

I enjoyed your poems. They came in a time when the self is full of bitterness, because of that i felt them twice. first as a creative masterpiece, second because they are expressing the pain of the heart

| It was wonderful to read a selection of the poems from Adeeb’s site and to learn that they are written in Arabic and translated, by the author, to English. The use of imagery is suberb, and animals feature as carriers of meaning. There is a great beauty in this poetry, many are stories of loss and grief but all are poignant and moving. |

Adeeb is a fine poet and an interesting student. Although I have only read a few of his poems I know that, as a student in my Computing classes he is a dedicated and hard working man. It has been clear that Adeeb Kamal Ad-Deen has a unique creative ability of hunting the virtual meanings from a foggy feelings, yet, he has the same ability to put them up in a melodious poems.. This make him so rare like the diamond and gold except that he is heavenly minded .Inside IRAQ he was away from the nadir of noisy drums hiding in his mystical heaven,he was and he is still searching about his myth but what he does`nt know is that he has got it but will never be his own .His myth is ours,personalised only when we read his poems .I know this is unfair because he will keep fighting and we get the victory but all of these things are the glory of Adeeb Kamal Ad-deen
