Hi,
Hope you are well. 
I have wrote many little pieces of verse, some about people I admire but mostly just fun. I have kept record of very few *(. But a few I remember by heart.
If you have the time I would like to show you one of my more serious verses. 
Inspired by Rene Descartes’Rene Descarte’s ;) , " I think, therefore I am"
I attempt to show the reader that we cannot really be sure about anything ,  .
"What is REALLY going on?" 
A mirage is a wonderous sight
But you’ll never touch one try as you might.
The sound is heard of a voice you know
But they are not here...? They are on the radio.
You catch a whiff of the best Chanel
But it is from the stall of a Blackpool Belle.
That steak you have eaten tasted just right
Made from soya beans overnight!
We don’t feel the heat and we don’t feel the cold.
We feel the difference so I have been told.
Not a single sense deserves our trust
But we have no choice, trust them we must.
Also an inspiration for this was my semi-professional magician friend, Richard. He relies chiefly on fooling sight. 
I do hope you enjoyed this as much asi did writing it.
