Tony,

You will probably remember my mum & dad more than me.
We where your mum & dad’s (Nancy & Sam) neighbours from approx 1955 - 1959. We where not just neighbours but very good friends & your late mum was with me and Eva Tama the night that my mum died in the Royal Hospital in March 1980. I can always remember the nights we used to spend in each others houses which always ended up with a mum & dads sing song. Nancy & Sam also had a black & white dog called yoly (i think that was the name)plus of course the hen house with a constant supply of fresh eggs. I am still in regular contact with Jim Gore who lived at no.106 Halewood Drive.

I only found your web site by accident as I was looking for a recent book called ’Woolton Voices’ which I was buying for Jim Gore’s sixtieth birthday.(your web site is very good).

If you wish to contact me at my hotmail e-mail address, I will pass on any information which you may require.

The photos of Hunts Cross Avenue/Halewood Drive bring back memories as i probably started the Primary School a year after you.I lived at Monica Road, just off Manor Avenue.
I took my son to his first football match at Anfield many years ago, and promised to show him my old Secondary school, Hillfoot Hey.It was quite upsetting to see that it had been replaced by a housing estate!
