Great site and enjoyed the memories it brings back to me. I lived in Westvale, Kirkby and emigrated to Australia in 1965 at age 20 years. I spent 2 years as a young Bus Conductor until leaving based at Gillmoss Depot on the 92/93 routes with changeovers from Walton.
Great memories of working the Green Back Enders and the Midnight on a Saturday night from the Pier Head was an education of the Scouse humour, Fantastic days.I follow the Merseyside Transport Trust Preservation site on a regular basis and often look at L265 as I worked on it often.I have played with the A267 bus picture with numbers and locations and it gives me shivers of the great times I had in hometown Liverpool.

Thanks for your time in collating your site and the pleasure it brings of past fond ever lasting comments and pictures you have put together.

Kind regards
Ray from OZ

Well done for an excellent site, loads of interesting things,I initially loaded on looking for mpte buses No 85 from dingle to Walton, I was born and bred in Dingle and have a picture of the 85 on Mill Street to walton and were i live in the background, and was curious of the date they stopped running,
Pleased to read about your Christian Faith and was impressed by your Dads page, especially his last poem, (what faith he had).
Again well done on your site and i will go back to looking.
God Bless you.
J Walsh.

Always good to see a website dedicated to Woolton Village. My family were gardeners in the village througout the 19t Century at Reynolds Park and Camphill. My Great Great Grandfather lived on the site of what is now "Mendips" John Lennons home, formerly Folly Vale cottages.

I also used to work with a John Salmon for a certain organisation based in Liverpool, one conected with your fathers past shall we say. Lovely fella.

Best wishes Chris
