LETTER OF SINCER THANKS – WARRANT OFFICER ALAN (STONEY) WANBON
1. It gives me enormous pleasure to write to you all. I wish to personally pass on my utmost and sincere thanks for your clubs continued support and dedication to the military patients who pass through RCDM at Selly Oak. Your financial and kind boxed donations are extremely generous and throughout my tour as the Air Commands Military Liaison Officer I have been utterly impressed by your clubs enthusiasm and generosity.
2. As I prepare to handover to my replacement (WO Alfie Jones) I must further add my thanks for the superb evening’s entertainment you provided me with on 29 April 2010. It was indeed an honour to be able to talk to those who selflessly continue to provide. I can honestly state “It ranked as one of the best nights out I’ve ever had”. I believe my mentor for the evening (He of bad leg) actively tried to secure my inebriation. I must admit he managed to get me quite merry. But most importantly I felt I was made most welcome.
3. You are all an inspiration and I once again applaud your continued commitment. I will be in touch once I have acclimatised my liver to German beer. All being well the Club can “drop by” next year. Maybe even sample a local brew.
