Thanks Steve for painting my Mercedes Benz S Class, you have transformed it from being a patchwork of different shades to a car I feel very proud to drive
All the best,
Adam.
My pleasure Adam, Cheers  |

Hello Stephen, What an interesting and informative website,I have been all through it and found so much in it I did not know about. My particular interest is restoring classic motorbikes, and I have just finished a BSA A10. I confess to having the frame powder coated, but sprayed the other parts using cellulose. I am now working on a pre war OK supreme, after reading your site, I feel coach paint is the way to go.I will buy some decent brushes and start practicing. A whole new interest! Many thanks. Ric.

Hi Stephen, what a great site, thanks for writing it. I need to read it fully yet but it has already helped me confirm that my 1965 Series IIA is Marine Blue. Now all I need to do it decide whether to spray it, or use rollers or brushes.
One question. I can’t find any reference to what the correct colour for the wheels is. I know they’re off white and some people have called that Old English White but I have found loads of different shades. Any ideas?
This colour would be Limestone LRC.007 |

After reading this site the old landie`s in for a face lift. Had wanted to tackle it for a while as I`ve been a vehicle builder since left school, 20yrs ago but was unsure how to get a decent finish without using the spraying facilities. Great info . Thanks.

A model web site. Clear, concise and easy to use. How refreshing. I now feel able to reliably pick a colour for repainting my 88 with Tekaloid - sounds good stuff.

Can’t help but be inspired. Will leave the compressor off when I start restoring my 1952 O Type Bedford truck. Have purchased a couple of Hamilton brushes and will have a go with Tekloid. Will be putting photos on CC forum, First Bedford user name.
Many thanks

| Great site and I found it very useful and informative so thanks for taking the time to set it up. Maybe you can also help me - I am also in Cheshire and need to get some paint for my 1950 Series 1 Land Rover. Tekaloid seems to be the stuff, but I cannot decide if it should be Bronze Green, Mid bronze green or Deep Bronze Green - any ideas? Thanks again for the site. Best regards, Nigel Mottershead |

<!--884643-->Very informative website dad.
You explained everything with great detail, and you show your great knowledge of the coach-painting world very well.
I did not realise that so many steps where required with painting, and I did not realise that there were quite so many different shades of colours.
Also I think I have grown on a bit now from 7 now though haven’t I.
~Michael
Thanks Son, Dad
