What can I say...love Mahuffer’s... everytime we come down from Illinois which is about every 6-8 weeks we always bring our friends to Mahuffers. My daughter is a freshman at Iowa State University in Ames and she talks about you guys out there all the time...Somewhere in the backroom my business card is stuck up in the lattice work on the ceiling...see you in a few weeks P.S. we love Bandit

Been driving by for years never stopped in. Lyle from the Florentine told us we really need to stop in and see the place...finally did on Saturday night had a blast with my friends and the bartenders wonderful Christina and serious Andy...love the Andy love juice...the band was entertaining. Missed seeing the dogs, but the cats were cool....can’t wait to return.......appreciate the locals for making us feel like part of the family as well as Christina and Andy for putting up with us....Hope to see everyone again soon.

I grew up across the street at the Sun Burst Inn Motel, I was in High school then, my folks ran the motel. I worked a bit part time with John and walked his dogs every now and then, He taught me how to shuck oysters and how to be a bit more street smart than I was at the time, I worked around the place flipping burgers for a summer and got a huge education. That was 1982-1983. I have fond memories, I even got to drive his caddy, with the dogs riding in the back, he had sent me into town to pick up somehting, those were gerat times in my life. Thanks John.
