We just left there with special THANKS to Kitty and Nick who referred us! It was way better (worse) than described! Cheap beers and unexpected friendly service!
Nice little Pit-Bull-looking dog too.
We will be back tomorrow.
Your sawed-off Buick hearse is in desperate need of replacement! Email me for an upgrade!! |

I am so sorry to hear of Johns passing. We used to go there during our Florida vacations back when Tumbleweed Ted played there. We closed the place so many times!! Jon came out from the back once and asked my friends an I who was making all that racket??; Yep, that was him;)I’m sooo glad its still open for our future trips to Indian Rocks Beach!!!! |

I am deeply saddened to hear about Johns passing. I feel like a part of me is gone now. I spent most of 9/11 in the bar, playing game after game of pool, trying in vain to get my mind off things.
John helped my family during that time... my father had passed away just a week before. I feel almost as bad now hearing this...
John will live on in our memories forever! I will name my next series of art pieces after him, in honor of him.

| I’ve been coming to the Tampa area every spring for the last several years, and Mahuffer’s is always a must-stop for me. In fact, I’ll be there again Mar. 4th & 5th. Love it! Everyone is friendly, some in a quirky but endearing way. And I was so sorry to hear of John’s passing. Talking with him was always a hoot and always fascinating. He had the guts to be as independent as most of us dream of being. Cheers to you, John, and to your daughter and all the folks who make Mahuffer’s the eclectic, wonderful place it is. U-P Bob |
