The latest Mary Q. C. is good - but then, so are the rest. I’ve often felt the way Mary did today.
Brigid: Thanks. I think we’ve *all* felt this way. |

Hey!
Love your comic! I love Mary, and her dad reminds me so much of my own when he goes on a rant!
Plus, it makes a lot of sense. I was a bit wierd as a kid too, and got bullied for it. Great work in how she just wants to lash out!
Brigid: Wierd kids unite! You have nothing to lose but your dignity!
I guess my Dad isn’t the only one. Eventually I’m going to show one of his professorial rants, but I’m still trying to figure out how to fit it into a single page. |

"Has cafeteria food ever been palatable?"
Yes; I’ve experienced institutional cafeteria food services where, with a little care, I could find a good meal.
The key phrase is "a little care." At one place, fried food (like chicken) seemed to have been prepared in lubricants left over from the physical plant’s garage. I tried the chicken, once. Apart from that non-lethal, but exquisitely unpleasant, descent into the gastronomic abyss, they offered a reasonably tasty and healthy assortment of foods.
Of course, I’m rather more obviously an opportunistic omnivore than many folks.
Brigid: Aah. That may have been more than I wanted to know.
My dad, the raccoon. |

Hey, Brigid! Still loving the comic!
I have been wanting to use the shoutbox, but it doesn’t work for me at all.. I click on it and nothing happens.
I wish I had said something earlier. Maybe it is the same for others and that’s why it isn’t getting use.
Brigid: Yeah, I just noticed that, too. I’ve done some fiddling with the code, so it should work now. (I hope.)
And I’m so glad you still like the comic! |

*giggels* I really liked the current one. ainly cause I know EXACTLY what Mary was going through.
I once got in trouble because someone said I punched them, that got me sent to the principal. Apparently though they took one look at me and thought "This girl isn’t even capable of hitting a fly, let alone another person. Take her back to class." Yea, people flat out suck. It seems yer childhood was really similar to mine, people picked on you relentlessly and the instant you try to defend yerself you get in trouble. It’s BS I tell ya.
Brigid: Tell me about it. (Wait, you just did.) This seems to be the fate of nerds and geeks. |

I really like the motion effect you did for the leg on the 8th panel, very nice. And the eye! (thankfully not a big flaming one atop a tower) is wonderfully done, it actually looks like someone else drew it. It’s a bit different from yer normal stuff, but wonderful none the less.
Over all this page gets a thumbs up for being very cute.
Brigid: "it actually looks like someone else drew it." Nope, it’s all me. This is what happens when I actually take a perceptible amount of time to draw the panel art. I was having such a time with flow that I had to. (Usually I just kick these out in a few minutes between studying, chores, and reading other people’s webcomics. And it shows.) |
