What has happened to the updates? Its been the same page for a pair of weeks now. *cries* I need me some more Mary! *sniffels*
Brigid: I know! The automatic updater doesn’t seem to be working. I’ve uploaded pages, but they don’t show up. I got a bunch of them on my LJ, if you want to go there until this gets straightened out. |

Nice comic! Its very much like my life.....a little too much. *sigh* Oh well, great plot though!
Brigid: Glad you like it. I’m really surprised how many people have said Mary’s adventures are like their childhood. (Okay, so it’s been three so far. I don’t have many readers who provide feedback.) Guess all nerdlings have common experiences. |

Brigid: Yep. Definitely. |

Not a bad transition. I wouldn抰 have given it a second though, if you hadn抰 pointed out that it was an early work.
A principle of performance comes into play here; whatever happens, keep the act going. The audience may not notice.
Brigid: Hee-hee. |

Aww. Shucks.
Thanks!
Brigid: You’re welcome. Happy Father’s Day, Dad. |

*laughs* I remember the shuffle technique! I used to do that in the hallways, and in my closet when my parents were trying to find me. I would climbn into the closet, shuffle to the top and stay there. *grins* I always used to hide in the closet, so it was the first place they looked. I was ever so happy when I learned that trick, since from that point on they抎 never find me till after they had a chance to cool down. They even walked under me once when I did in the hallway. When I said hi, they were quite startled to see me over their heads. Easy to get up, scary to get down.
But then I started to feel the walls slightly sag beneath my feet as I got bigger, so I had to stop for fear of putting my feet through the walls. Ah well.
But massive points for being curious, curiosity might抳e killed the cat, but for humans it is a sign of inquisitve behaviour and a sharp mind. GO MARY!
Brigid: My Dad’s theory of evolution. Curious George, anyone? That must’ve been a lot of fun. I get dizzy thinking about the getting down part, though. |

First off; (since I now have the space to babble!)
The new use of screentones is awesome. Before, all the grey scale was cute, but the screen tones seem to give it a bit of an air of "proffessional" I dunno, I suppose I just inherintly love screentones, and to see Mary with them, just makes me smile.
Second; The mothers day, was really nice. I especially liked the folds and form you did for mom, and the way the arms came out when they were trying to beat out the toaster flames.
Third; I know EXACTLY where this "let抯 be friends" could be heading. The fact that I do, is not a good thing.
I still enjoy the comic, and I think it抯 moving along really nice, and the pages are starting to blend, making it even more enjoyable to read. I see great things in Marys future, as always a loyal fan. *hugs* Now I want a MAry plushie. Dammit, I don抰 have room for plushies!
Brigid: I’m having a lot of fun experimenting with screentones. In a way, it’s now made the process faster because I only use two (rarely three) per panel and usually the same set for all of them.
Real life is such a great inspiration. That sort of thing happened *a lot*. (I think every single one of our toasters died in flames. One of our microwaves almost did.)
This summer is going to be interesting. I have two main story lines planned with a little side story involving Mary’s little sisters.
Plushies... now there’s an idea ... |
