I want to thank the pipers and drummers and the swimming element for their valiant efforts on New Year’s Day. You helped make the Scleroderma Polar Plunge successful.
In addition, I just want to say thank you to all the firefighters that I’ve had the honor and opportunity to play with over the past dozen or so years. Being a civilian has never been an issue with you. You’ve always treated me as one of the guys wherever we’ve been. I’m not a "sparkie", all I had set out to do was to learn how to play the bagpipes. The last thing I expected was to end up being included in all that has occured over the past years!
I’m looking forward to continuing marching alongside all of you for a long time.
