Brilliant website - great to see Charley getting his due!
One observation I have to make re; the rediscovered Chase film - I also saw it at the recent Uk screening, and it doesn’t match at all to the synopsis or stills of ’Chasing Husbands’ I’ve seen in Brian Anthony’s book. It actually has a Russian setting, with Charley as a sailor (he is without his ’tache, as in ’Powder and Smoke’) so I think Dave Wyatt is right in thinking its actually ’A Perfect Lady’. A shame its not a classic MGM film thats turned up, but still nice to have something new! |
