Marcel come on now 9 penalties waived off, I was there and I think maybe 3 and if you recall, joplin had a TD pass called back in overtime that would have won them the game. The ref said the QB had crossed the line when he clearly hadn’t. I think we can agree on one thing, the officiating really struggels.

Didn’t know about the intentionally missed call. Has any kind of investigation been started by the CFL, or what ever organization the refs belong to, to discipline that ref? If he were a NFL or college referee, he could face a suspension, a big fine or termination. blown calls will happen, but saying that "he saw the penelty, and forgot to call it", is very inexcusable. Hope that ref recieves some discipline for his actions.

first off the refs were garbage there they told our player that they saw the penelty but forgot too call it so how do you get complianing about the refs is bad he is callin it how he sees it

Marcel,
your recap was great, except complaining about the part of the game you have no control over...the officiating! The refs will call the game how they see it, no matter what; whether or not you think/know it’s right or wrong! as i said earlier, complaining about the officiating in a game recap, is truly unprofessional. I think anyone (visitors, possible future players) who saw that recap on the home page of kscougars.com, would really wonder whether or not the Cougars are sore losers. Just saying that it’s okay to be angry at the refs for certain calls that may have either benefited Joplin, or something that wasn’t called against Joplin. just really disagree with it being published on the site as part of the recap.

Hey great game guys!! I am still licking my wounds. Just one question for Marcel. How did you see the officiating when the Cru played at your house?

73. Owner Marcel - 2009-05-20 18:18:33
I call it, how I see it. In a big game like that. They should know the rules.

72. Kay-Jay 92 - 2009-05-20 17:17:13
Was a really great season for the Cougars, finishing 6-3! Cougars are 0-2 against Joplin in the playoffs, but no reason to hang your heads! Just start the mental, and physical preparations for 2010! In football, there is no "off season", when it comes to preparing for the next season. If you know someone who can/wants to play, don’t wait till a week before the season to get them to practice. Start telling them now!

To whoever put the recap for the Joplin game; how about just recapping the game, and not worrying about what the refs called and didn’t call against Joplin. Don’t really think a visitor to the Cougars site wants to see a bunch of complaining about officiating. In my opinion, it’s not very professional!
