Dear Chris; Your comment heralds a landmark moment in CCC history Ironically Nick Compton, Denis Compton’s grandson is training with the Compton Cricket Club this weekend. The CCC connected with Denis Compton before our 1997 trip to arrange a meeting in Gerards Cross, sadly he passed away before we arrived. NIck Compton is carrying on the relationship by joining us tomorrow i.e. Compton v Compton. we are taking pictures so keep watching this website.

I am thrilled that you guys are playing cricket. I think that the club name is great. I remember as a boy in 1955 watching a great Middlesex and England batsman called Denis Compton - an immortal who was able to choose from at least three shots for every ball bowled to him. He would be delighted that his name is perpetuated by you guys.

Dear Blokes; just happened to catch you on Dateline here in Aussie. Just felt that I had to say what a great job you blokes are doing, and to keep up the good work. Not sure what Glenn McGrath and Shane Warne would think about the no sledging bit though.......
