| Merry Christmas dear Maddie! Would you wish our gracious Lord a Happy Birthday from one of his other "kids" your Nana. I think of you daily and have come to accept that Jesus called you to himself when the burden of your life and broken heart became to much to carry for one so young. Your courage will always be the gold standard in my eyes. What a trooper you are-I know Jesus must have said, "well done my good and faithful servant." I don’t know if you get "email" up there, but it helps me to think so. ;>) it won’t be all that long until Poppa & I see you and your friend Jesus face-to-face and then all joy for evermore-Halleluia Come Lord Jesus! Love you baby girl! |

| I have just shared your site with Matt the lead singer from Sanctus Real. He and his wife are awaiting the arrival of BOWEN any day and he too has this same condition. I will not lie but I have just come to this page again after many years. I miss her too. She was a testimony of faith to me too. My little one passed @ 38 weeks in Feb of 2006. I had a successful pregnancy in Feb of 2008. But then in March of this year my little girl I found out that there was a heart issue @ 9 1/2 weeks. So at 10 weeks she was gone. I wonder if it may hve led to the HLHS too. ANd if I couldhave endured it as you all had. I know in my heart with God I would have. I want to say God bless you all. Maddie will always live on inmy life as well.. My testimony is MADELINE WILLOUGHBY LESTER!!! |

I assume you’re in the process of showing your Grandmother Wallwork around heaven. You two have a great time, but tell Grandma that when she see’s me coming, she’s to put you down and go play elsewhere for awhile. I love you and miss you every minute of my life. Love, your poppa |

| My 11 year old daughter Mackenzie had her 4th open heart surgery recently. It is faith that gets us through the pain that we must endure as we watch our little one fight for her life. It is because God has blessed us with people like you that we are given hope for her future. Your continued involvement with blood drives etc, increases Mackenzie’s chances of winning her battle with heart disease. I will remember Madeline when our child has her next surgery and be sure to give thanks to God for her legacy. |

| It is great how you become connected to people whom you never meant but yet have such a impact on you. I found your site after trying to learn more about the ECMO machine. I have a friend who 4 year old son is fighting pneumonia, rsv, mrsa, and ALL ( Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia). He has been placed on the ECMO machine for over a month now and I was looking to find information on it and come across your story. The greatest part is that tomorrow is Madeline’s birthday and what an honor it was to me to read her story. Who would have thought that her story would touch someone’s heart in Michigan who she never meant the day before her 6th birthday. GOD IS GOOD! Thank you for sharing her with the world. You are a true inspiration! Reading your post truly has opened my eyes to some of the feeling that my friends are dealing with and I am forever grateful for that. Thanks you for opening my own eyes on all the blessings I have and for making me be a better wife and mother for it! Madeline my wish for you is that you dance and dance tomorrow on your birthday and I’m going to pray that you will watch over our special Vaughn because you know what he is going through and to be our little angel to watching over him. After reading your story it makes my heart happier knowing there are angels like you watching over other children who are hurting. God be with you and your family.
