Good morning all.Well it’s Satuday morning before Easter Sunday and I have a few words for you Dunson people. Just because of what happened at Dunson Baptist Church nearly fifty years ago(May, 1956), I would like to say my life started to change that day. I believed what the Bible said about the sacrifice God made on my behalf what the story of Easter is all about that Jesus voluntaralily gave his life on the cross, was buried, and was raised on the third day. I hope this Easter finds all of you of the same belief. If not I pray that each of you will soon find this to be true of your life too. I hope that you find your way to a church of your choice tomorrow.

Thank yoy for your time & attention,
Joe Thrower

Lynn, I remember Jimmy, and Kenneth Butler well. Kenneth was one of Jimmy’s (my older brother) best friends. Boy did I looked up to those older guys that Jim hung out with. I remember Mr. and Mrs butler as well. Great folks. I remember them moving out to Pine or Poplar Circle. Jim was down recently and we talked about Kenneth and Jimmy. In fact he brought some old photos with him and one photo had Kenneth in it. If I had to guess he as about 12 or 13 in the photo. We used to walk through the back alley to see them. I always wanted to tag along and every now and then Dad would make Jimmy take me with him. (Ha-Ha). I know Jimmy hated me tagging along, but i loved it. Especially loved to go play in the woods over on Sugar Hill. That was quiet an adventure. I remember Jimmy Butler falling off of Dunson Mill and getting hurt. Where is Jimmy now?

Gail, I’m home. We got back last Friday after 4 weeks at the lake. We were there when it snowed. We had a good time. Thought you and Dianne would come out to see us. We saw Dianne at Wal Mart and talked a long time. She told us about the wedding. Billie has gone to Fla. She will be back tomorrow. Hope to see you next time we are at the lake.

First let me say to Mrs. Adams’ family how sorry I am to hear of your loss. I certainly do remember her at LaGrange Theater. She was such a sweet lady.
Second to Bill Swan, I am sorry to hear of your illness. My prayers are with you and your family. Bill I knew your Mother and she was definetly a good Christian woman. She was so sweet to my Mother.
Lastly I have gotten in touch with my uncle Ken Butler. He lives in Jacksonville Beach Fl. I am trying to talk him into coming to the next reunion. Does anyone remember him or his younger brother Jimmy Butler? Their Daddy my Grand Daddy E.L. Butler was a second hand on the third shift in the early sixties. They lived right up from Linda Mims on Greenville Street. We lived with them for a while when we first moved to LaGrange. My sister Becky and I would pretend the little meatal crossing guard was our boyfriend going off to war. We would be on the side of the road hugging "Johnny" as he went to war. What a sight for anyone traveling Greenville Street. We had to look downright strange. of course we were very young at the time. We both out grew "Johnny". Oh my goodness I wish I had that little metal crossing guard. He was made by the CocaCola Co. He would probably be worth a good piece of change.
