| Wow, I just caught up reading the last three weeks’ notes by everyone. I was amazed at how many had written in this last month. I really enjoy reading them. I hadnt thought about the city bus in a long time. i remember riding it to town with Mom to shop. I also remember the toilets . I grew up at 6 Wallace St. and we had one that was still in the house when we moved to 9 Bary Ave. I was 13 when we moved, so that would have been 1965. I thought we were the only ones that still had one of those things at that time. We also didn’t have a built in tub or lavatory in our bathroom. We bathed in a galvanized oval tub on the back porch. On summer nights we would bathe sometimes with the garden hose outside the kitchen window. That was a special treat. No one would even consider doing that nowdays. And gosh someone mentioned Dinky Heath. Was she an angel or what? I almost missed the reunion this year. i rolled into town at 11;00 am. Wanted to be there friday night but it just didnt work out. I was shocked to read about Cindy Estees’ passing. Bo and Estees family, my thoughts are with you. Penny I had hoped to see you, maybe next year. Thanks for leaving out the details about the old car episode. I’m not sure i remember. tell me next year. We had some good times double dating in the old ’52 Ford, sure did. Penny I remember when you were hit in the eye with a rock from a lawnmower. wasnt that what happened? Everyone was really concerned about you losing your sight. Jackie McMillan what’s all this talk about the old folks...You’re older than me! It’was good to see you Saturday. Where was cousin David. Would love to see him. |

| To Jenny. Jerry Ely and his wife are frequent visitors if not members at First Baptist Church on the Square in LaGrange. I see him almost every Wednesday night and strangely enough, I have never asked him if he is a member or just a regular guest. Not sure about his children though. I did love to him them all sing too. He was a Minister of Music for a while at Dunson. |

Hoping Joe is doing much better. To the Rainey family I send my prayers for your loss. To Peggy, Johnny, Jerry, Mike and Rudy my family is remembering you in our prayers. I know this is a very difficult time for you. I talked to Peggy yesterday and she told me that time was getting near.
Linda, I am also sorry for the loss of Billy Van Every. All the girls in grade school had a crush on him until he and his mother moved out of town.
Billy, I was thinking about Billy Jean Freeman when I mentioned she had a sister named Pat. I thought about it later, but Peggy had already mentioned that Hudson married Pat Freeman, oh well, mark it up as young age.
Also, my sister, Shelia, told me she remembered the toilets that hit you when you got up. I do remember taking a bath in a big wash tub. We use to play Simon Says and Teacher, May I on those long steps at the back of our house. Shelia told me that she remembered no one would come spend the night with us because of the toilets and taking a bath in the tub(too bad, they missed out some funny memories).
Jerry, thank you for adding the Care Bridge link to the Dunson Mill Village Home Page. You are doing a wonderful job keeping us informed.
Renion time is upon us, I hope each of you have a wonderful time and I hope my health issues are resolved and I can join you next year. Hello to all my childhood friends. |

Hey, does anyone know the whereabouts of the Eley’s? Elam and Ela Kay? I think their parents were Jerry and Eucaline (maybe). I use to love to hear them sing together.....! He was our song leader at Dunson, right? I have thought of them often! |

HI Peggy! Ya know I barely remember that day of your wedding, I do remember now that you were like my wedding doll I use to have many years ago. I believe you were the first bride I ever saw..If you can email that pic of me hugging you I would love to have it and show my grandaughters.
Thank you for remembering me.
