| hi, ian. Love the art on here, it’s fantasic and i have just been gazing at some of your early work on sinbad and the eye of the tiger comic adaptation. I would like to see a list of the titles you have worked on in the 1970’s so i can add more to my collection. All the best rhuari. |

Dear Ian
I’ve been a lifelong fan of comic books, and an artist myself. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the joy you brought to my childhood through your drawings. Your Sam Slade and Dredd drawings for 2000 AD were a key part of my adolescence, and I have tears in my eyes as I write this. I tried to draw like you, I talked with my friends about your unique style, I loved the way you told stories and emotions in that lovely cartoonish way you drew the human form.
Thank you, Ian. You’re more than an artist- you were my childhood. |

Great site Ian. Do you, or any of your visitors, know the location of the original art for the cover of 2000AD Issue 376? £200 finders fee available if I can eventually purchase the art.

Dear Mr Gibson,
I have been given details of your website from a good friend of yours (Janet Ast)and she told me to sign the guestbook and heap lots of praise upon your person!
I don’t think I need to do that as your work speaks for it self!! I’ve been reading comics for over 40 years and I’m still amazed at how your work always seems so original and refreshing which is a great feat in itself these days with all the copycap artists about! Anyway, I’ve always liked your work and have nearly everything that you did for the yanks (even Meta 4 which I really liked by the way!)and of course your Halo Jones work! Now I’ve finally located your site I’ve added it to my favourites and hope to pop in from time to time to see what you’re up to - kind regards from rich. |
