What a wonderful website.A moving tribute to all those people who lost their lives.My husbands grandmother was mentioned for 3/5/1941.Also the house fire in Pitt Street of 1930 when three of her children died there and another son died a day later in the Southern hospital{that story was mentioned in the book Liverpools Finest by Gavin Bassie about firefighters}
Thanks to you I have now ordered that book
Thanks again

Fantastic web site. Congratulations on producing such a prestigious work. I’ll be returning to it again and again. I knew that my parents had been bombed out of Hinton Street when I was a babe in arms. From reading your site, I now believe it must have been 15th Sep 1940 when the Palace Ice Rink across the road was bombed.

What a wonderful site found you through the www.bootlehistory.co.uk/forum/index.php whilst researching my bootle relatives and found the very same relative as a casualty of the co-op shelter thanks to this site. Thanks so much for your hard work.

Excellent site, found quite by accident. I’ve emailed a possible interesting story. I hope it gets to you.
