An interesting site, a way for me to keep in touch with the local news. I miss my regular visits to the village to visit my late parents, Peggy and Bill Richardson who lived in Woodrow Cottage by Silly Hill.

Cracking website - makes me feel very homesick out here in Western Australia. I was a Ten Pound Pom back in the dark ages. Sailed from Southampton to Fremantle in the steamer Orion. Could do with a pint of best at the Antelope!

From Chris Eyres - Local Historian at Hazelbury Bryan.
In my research of the families at Hazelbury Bryan, I have found that the James family was well educated, clever and all lived to great ages. They seem to have been farming in the Kingston area during the 19th and 20th Centuries, at Home Farm, part of which is now known as Burdens. I believe the Phillip you mention is the man I met in the 1950s when he and his daughter, Emily?, were visiting my grandfather. They lived at Ivy Clad Hall, Brent Knoll. Please write to me at; 91, Newton, Sturminster Newton, Dorset DT10 2DQ.
