Hi Kobus
I salute you for your dedication and time giving the world these amazing ’live’ photos of our weather. I envy your talent and wish I could do the same, alas... time!
I see from your shack that you are using quite a number of products I am familiar with...! I notice the MFJ-112 World clock as also, what seems to be a Kenwood R-1000 on the top shelf. Then there is the HF antenna, KLM-KT34XA(?) and the Great Circle Map on the Wall... The R-1000 and Great Circle Map, (and KLM), were those from Lieberman Electronics in the early/mid 1980s? I was their chief salesman at that time!! The MFJ clock may have come from Sam’s Radio Accesories(?) Wait, there is the CDE Ham IV rotator too! Isn’t it nice to see a fellow amateur enjoying what he does?!!
Congratulations Kobus - indeed a valuable member of the fraternity.
Very 73

| Hi, I have always just clicked on weather sa and had a look at the daylight map as that was all i was interested in. Now today 11/05/2010 they have changed the site "for the better". No more daylight map just more cute drawings of clouds and rain drops what a mess. Goggled and came onto your site i still don’t even have a learners licence for it yet but will get there it seems to provide lots of info and my favorite satellite photos. Thanks for sharing your information i will get stuck into the workings the weekend. Cheers, Frank. |

Hi All
Welcome to the global/international weather satellite photo website of Kobus Botha. You will find real weather photos here which you will get at no other source on the web. Most of the photos are received with my own weather satellite dish system. Then processed with my own patented software system. You are mostly welcome to join this guestbook- say your say- ideas, tips, proposals are welcome. More about myself and my system;
