Many thanks for taking the time to do this extensive work! I am working on my family ancestral story/tree, and it is proving to be a LOT of work. Nonetheless, I come here because my family lived "next door" to (and were written on the 1870 census in Spencer County, Kentucky as being a part of the family of) a Henry & Minnie REED. My family was the Downs, with their grandson Ash.
Am looking to discover if these folk may’ve been related to your ancestors, and if so - will be asking about records of those they’d held as slaves. Hope all is going well, and the blessings in your life are perceived!
Take care -- h |

| My ggg grandfather was Andrew Read (Reed) who married Caterine Coryell in 1892 in Bourbon County, Kentucky. They moved to Ohio, I believe, in the early 1800’s. Their daughter Sussana Read married Samuel Mitchell and lived in Greene County, Ohio. I have no information on Andrew Read’s family such as his father, mother and/or siblings. Thank you for publishing the Reads in Kentucky and Virginia. Mike Moorhead. |

My Ky Reed/Reids are a solid brickwall, but I see that you have James Reed of Jessamine Co. and I’m thinking he might be a relation.
Thanks for compiling this data and sharing it! |
