I could not be more proud of Lynny and the work she does, not only in the words she writes but the joy she shares with others.
Wonderful lady filled with love and compassion for her people as you can see in her writing. Let’s make this a great movie with pride for the first people to walk on our precious earth.
May love and joy fill each day for you and keep writing. |

So wonderful that there are people out there who know what the Native history IS, aren’t ashamed of it, and want to share it with the general public.
You guys do such a great job...
i can only hope that you will become a reference source for people who do Native themed work in the future....Books, movies, whatever.... There’s so much negativity related to the Natives, and it’s all due to the sterotypical images of Natives being "savages". That’s so far from the truth!
We don’t/didn’t fight until are/we were threatened....
And what’s really sad to me is that the Afro Americans get such preferential treatment, get such pity for what THEY went through - and yet the NATIVES were HERE when the "white man" found and settled the North American Continent - before the "known" white man OR the African American slaves ever made an appearance here. Yet WE are the ones considered as "outlaws" and "savages", and yet WE are the ones who have been, and still ARE, being subjected to racial prejudices.
There is now "Black History Month", colleges founded specifically for the "Africans", scholarships especially for them, and how many national holidays in their favor? But what do the Natives have? Yeah, we have SOME preferential treatment if we fill out forms saying we have Native blood - but what besides that?
The government didn’t - and still DON’T - want to admit that the "Battle" of Wounded Knee was actually a MASSACRE.... Because the Natives were just doing what they had always done....And weren’t trying to rebel at all... They (the government) simply didn’t want us to have any rights or ability to follow OUR rights and beliefs, because it made the "white man" look bad. And look where the natives are now....
On "reservations" designated for us by the government, that are (forgive me) the shitholes of the world...because THAT is what the GOVERNMENT does - and always HAS - thought of us....and that we deserve nothing more.
My blessings are with you and yours....
My prayer is that this public display of what we really ARE, and what we are really ABOUT will finally make a DIFFERENCE with those in office, that have a possibility to elevate us - the REAL "ORIGINAL" settlers of the USA. May we finally get the recognition and treatment that so many other - lesser - causes have gotten....
Others may have lost SOMETHING - but WE lost EVERYTHING...and are left with the dregs of the Earth to sustain us... HOW is this FAIR?
Blessed Be, my Brothers and Sisters!
Hugs, love, and prayers be with you! |
