I’ve been looking at maybe getting a Rocket as my first kit car, and found your site while searching for information.
How many hours do you reckon it has taken you so far? It looks really good, and your build progress part is great for information on the problems that you had. Is it on the road yet? |

hello everybody,
firstly, well done for getting yours through SVA!
i put a homebuilt trike through msva at garrets green, birmingham, and dave there was mega helpful, he does SVAs and i can recommend that station.
i ordered my rocket kit back in january and it should be ready for collection middle of march... cant wait to start peicing it together!
ive been upto MEV today for stuart to test fit my engine and to make any alterations before powdercoat, just as well because it needed a few!
im using a 2.0 tdci focus as donor (yeah, thats right, dirty big diesel).

hi tim & scott
been very slow on the car.. a little too much partying over the festive period and not too worried as its not going to be a car that you drive in the bad weather.
currently starting back on the kit with the list of items to sort out for the SVA retest.
I hope to have these sorted and it booked in within a month or so.

no real problems so far and i chose the 1.8 option which stuart hadnt built yet so i was the guinnea pig. and with a little thought everything was reasonably easy to overcome...
i suggest you buy one ans start building...
i think there is plenty of people got one now to help you and stuarts advice is great too if you need him

Just thought i would just add to the Rocket members and let everyone know that we have ordered the the kit from Stuart @ Mev, should be with us in January, and are currently stripping out the 1.6 doner Vehicle, Looking forward to getting stuck into the build !!
