Excellent webpage on Miriam Hopkins! She was wonderful in The Old Acquaintance and The Old Maid. She was just as talented as the great Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, but is largely overlooked. Kudos to you on a great page.

High there and thanks from the bottom of my heart I even married a Mariam look alike without knowing anything about her I have driven through Bainbridge more times than I can remember. If I go through again I will pay my respects at Oak City. Once again Thankyou for this wonderful peak into this fantastic actress.

I just finished watching my first Hopkins movie (Dr. Jekyll) and my interest peaked. She was pretty talented and, of course, beautiful. Nice site!

Does anyone know if any of Miriam Hopkins earlier films were ever transfered over to another viewable format. She made many films in the early thirties that I have seen only still photos from with the exception of "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde." Turner Classic Movies plays only her older films she made after 1939.

I would appreciate it very much if you could tell me more about the books you found in which Miriam Hopkins is mentioned in some detail. I am working on a screenplay called "Hopkins" and I just can’t get anything thick enough around which to spin a 90 page biopic.
Hopkins was great -- she deserves a posthumous star turn, doesn’t she?
thanks for your site

Your homepage intro is certainly correct in that it is difficult to find much of substance about Miriam Hopkins online. A Google search for "Miriam Hopkins" brings up so many other sites which are in no way as informative as yours that I had to be a little creative in my request. Congratulations on your good work, especially with respect to images. Unfortunately, I could only link to the "Early Years" of the biography via the filmography link. The biography link is not currently available.

Glad to see this very excellent site still exists, albeit it has now become un-navigatable with Safari, and Firefox has its issues with the frames, as well.
