You will all understand the MacMad nickname when I tell you that my (much, much older) brother is Ag MacPhail of Eastcroft, Lochdon. Though I slid south to Guernsey (no not for tax reasons - I wish) and have sadly absorbed a snobby accent, I did (with the illustrious Ag’s help) nitro a Cooper "S" into beating a Ferrari Dino in our local sprint long, long ago. I have just been told the "S" is not counted as a motorcycle despite my frequently getting it on two wheels. This discrimination seems very unfair!
I just had a nostalgic visit to Mull a week ago. Shame I didn’t find your website first. This was only my second visit since my trip there in ’62 on my Ariel Arrow. Ag stored it in his loft for me since then and I have just picked it up from him on my return south last week. It will cost a fortune in time, learning and swearbox fines to rebuild but who do you know who has a one owner, low mileage (it was stripped, painted and stored early in its life when I got a job with a warm car one winter), 48 year old classic?
On that 1962 trip Mr Cameron who owned the store at Craignure was just starting to build his pier at Craignure I was shipped by MacBraines all the way to Ballamory and I had a superb scream south leaving twin swirls of blue smoke (traditional with the petrol oil mix system for two strokes then). If you look carefully towards Ben Moor in the early morning you can still see those swirls of blue smoke. I love Mull but its not my home and I love my home but its not Mull - Sods law.
Lang may your lum reek; as my dad (flat twin Douglas) would say.

Just wanted to say well done for a briliant rally,We had a fantastic ride round mull on saturday down to Iona, and saw some beautiful scenery.We also met some crazy mad folk like us 
A good time was had by all and we will be looking forward to heading your way for your 2nd rally next year.  , organisng the childminder this week
