It appears that the council is after nothing but money. Even though they should work for the community, they are actually working against the community interests by not listening to them.

There are plenty of Goals and Powerleagues in the area. Nobody needs another one.

Merton Council failed to address a Disability Discrimination Issue that I raised in the spring (in spite of a promise on their complaint paperwork) - What hope have these people who are objecting to the money making scheme in Morden Park by ’Goals’ have? ’Bosis’ said he was going to retain green spaces. MERTON COUNCIL DO NOT ADDRESS ISSUES LET ALONE LISTEN TO RESIDENTS

Dear Krysia - This issue of ’Goals’ establising a site in Morden Park annoys me as much as previous issues. Can you please do something?

"There are 2 "Goals" nearby, we don’t need another one. We want leisure facilities for the whole community"

"We don’t need another "Goals" in this area. The park is a fantastic community resource already and kids can play football here for free!!!"

" If Merton Council sell this land for commercial gain the residents of Merton will lose a vital inheritance forever. Once sold it will never be returned to the community and those less fortunate will not be able to enjoy grassland."

"In our concrete conurbation where green space is such a premium it would be a shame to lose a public space to a private organisation"
