| Hi Nigel; My dad,(Henry John),was born in Chatam-Kent (Nov 1903) the 2nd of 7 children born to Frederick Samuel Vousden and Elizabeth Pearl (Henley). They immigrated to Canada circa 1910. I have been told by family that Frederick Samuel did some research that traced his ancestry to The Spanish Armada but I have not seen any proof, Have you seen any such results in your research? (from what I know of most of them, my guess would be that they jumped ship when they saw they were losing). I have lived in 4 Canadian Provinces,(Ontario, Saskatchewan,Quebec and British Columbia), and have met other Vousden’s in 3,(all but Quebec), but unfortunately have been unable to establish a link to any of them. I have to admit I find this stuff interesting but really havn’t gotten the Genealogy Bug bad enough to delve too deeply. Great page, interesting to read the other entries. All the best......Hal |
