Thoroughly enjoyed your information and the posts! I almost forwarded your weblink to the Sac and Fox because I didn’t know that at one time Sac and Fox and been proposed as the name of the County! I thought that very interesting. Didn’t send it because they might still be sensitive to the "land run" that used up a lot of their land...

| I keep stopping in to read the different posts. I lived in Alva for 18 months, Muskogee for 9 years, Tulsa a year, and Norman a year. Most of my mother’s family is from Alva area ~ the Williams family & Fish family. Ruth Willams married and was a Campbell. I do remember some of my cousins but haven’t been in touch for several years. I hope to get in touch and thanks for the site!! |

It was great to find this link. I hope that I am able to find out more family history from Alva area. Henry Williams was father of my grandmother, Elenora Fay Williams’, who married Lyle Fish. If anyone has any information plese send. Put Williams/Fish in the subject line so it doesn’t go to junk mail.

Hi I come across this site I looking for family members or inf. on Thomas Claud McGill born March,2,1892 Giles county ,Tn. and died 1942 married Ardie McGill Patterson born in Texas 1895 and died 1933 Sept. had two children Llyod E. McGill born 1917 died 2000 April and Florence Holland,McGill born Oct.,1920 died April 6,2009.
