It was great seeing a band that didn’t play the same crap as everybody else.
Loved the originals too!
Keep up the good work.

We’re about to give up on normal life, surprisingly my fiancé is pushing this harder than I am. It started one day when we were traveling back from visiting my family in Iowa, we passed an RV & I said, "Screw it, let’s just get one of those & travel around."
Her response? "OK! We could probably make $1200 a week on music & I can teach dance workshops and decorate special order cakes again, you could give guitar lessons....." (We have earned that much, she is a professional dance teacher, she used to work for Cakes Devine, I can’t give guitar lessons, I don’t have the patience)
That was a little over a year ago, I’ve been asking for the entire time if she was sure, if she meant it & she is, she did. So now we’re looking at a small cheap RV to start us out, our lease is up in 12 days, and we’re selling off stuff we don’t need or want & putting the rest in storage.
We plan on "boon docking" 90% of the time so that we don’t have rent to pay. We are over extended as it is right now (as are most Americans), so we are starting at less than $0, bur we’ll use 24 hour business parking lots, friends driveways (well the ones that accept our insanity), and various other methods, using RV parks enough to replenish water supplies & empty waste tanks. This way we can keep costs low. We had thought about using our van (which we will soon be selling) to sleep in but figured out that costs of eating out every night + gym memberships to shower etc. would be as expensive or more than paying rent.
We plan on using the money we save to pay off all credit cards, build a savings account to use for when I need to purchase tickets to bring my kids to the US from Germany, and start a separate savings account to live off of when times are tough. We then plan on trying to make a living off our music rather than doing the "day job" thing. Of course I’m sure there will be times when we need to supplement our income but we think we have that figured out. The whole process of building a decent savings account to fall back on in case we don’t meet our financial requirements with our musical endeavors will take about a year, so we keep the jobs around until next summer. Maybe I’ll work 2 jobs to speed the process up.
Some will call us bums, some won’t understand why we choose to do this, some will be envious. I don’t think we’ll become famous, but I’d like to be able to live off of what I want to do rather than hate going to work everyday. Can it work? I’ll never know if I don’t try. I read something once that said when confronted with 2 paths in life there’s usually one that feels safe & one that scares the hell out of you....most of the time the one that scares you is what you will find most satisfying. Let’s see if its true.
We’ll let you know! If you see us playing a gig near you ask us how its coming along.
Wil
