I thought this is really cool. This has given me great information for our pioneer trek we are getting information for next year.
this also reminds me of the stories my grandmother use to tell me my whole life. if she was here she would love this. |

Dear DUP - Thank you so much for putting the Jubilee on line. I love the many things that I have found in the DUP Museum and History Department on my ancestors. So many of these things I did not know existed until my sister and I made a visit to the Museum one day. As Placer Company President, I am so grateful that I can serve this wonderful organization - and these Daughters. Our Company is currently doing a project to submit pictures of our ancestors to the ISDUP Picture Department. We want to contribute as well as belong. Sincerely - and love, Sheryl

I found this page very interesting and moving. I’m a descendant of Utah pioneers who were then asked to go and settle the Idaho territories. I’m extremely interested in learning more about my history and how that connects to others.

My mother was a descendants of pioneers. She died at age 93 in 2002. As a dedicated genealogist, she loved DUP and supported your efforts. May you be blessed in your great service!

My grandmother was a Daughter of the Utah Pioneers living in Provo, Utah. In l947, she wrote something to place in a "Jubilee Box" to be opened in 50 years. I could never find anythng on a "jubilee Box" anywhere until now. Unfortunately, this is a guestbook referring to a site that is "unknown." All talk of it but none give the website name! So alas I am still in the dark. This Jubilee Box was supposed to have been placed in the cornerstone of the old Provo City & County Bldg. Nobody after 50 years seems to know anything about it. Hmmm. Does anyone have any information or at least the name of the website you are all gushing about? Thanks so much! A Grand-daughter of the Utah Pioneers

Very interesting to view the events of the 50th anniversary. I would love to have more events, especially old photos put on this site. If available any pictures of the first old homes located around town/Brigham Street.
