Hi Ian,
I had the same problem with the built in wireless on the laptop. In the end I had to disable it, and get a cheap wireless dongle.
I think you can get them quite cheap from online stores, or ebay.

Hi, thanks for the iqon 8050g drivers just cannot get the wireless drivers to install says cant find hardware, look in devince manager and network and pci drivers are missing. could you be of any help.

hey guys, have the same laptop,
other configuration.
MITAC 8050Q. check out the link for more drivers and bios update, but do ensure you’ve got a similiar model

i personally think fair priced asian manufactured laptops are just another option to the well known brands.
i would be interested what u paid for yours.
post price but no ads, just nice to know as i cannot remember what i paid.
if u got the money, get a proper one as this one is not too reliable.

Hi Dragontrainer,
I had the same problem with the wireless drivers. In the end I disabled the laptops built in wireless, and bought a usb wirless stick. It worked much better.
