My self and Chuck Poplet made a visit to Walter Reed Army Medical Center, in Washington, DC on 17 June 2009. We visited with 3 servicemembers wounded in the middle east. This is the 3rd trip I have made to Walter Reed while serving as the 2nd Vice Commander of this post. It is a VERY rewarding feeling to be able to visit with these American Servicemembers willing to serve our Great Nation in these times.. As in past generations, these folks step up to fight for our believes and our way of life. Anyone wishing to contribute to the Wounded Warrior Program, or make a visit to Walter Reed with me, feel free to contact me at 443-243-6772 or Andy Powell 2ndVice Commander Post 128

I would like to express my thanks to all who make the American Legion Post 128 my home. The years that I have been a member of this Post has brought me many memories. We must continue to pull together in good times and bad. Just like my family does when things are looking pretty grim. I ask all members to pull together and make this the best American Legion Post in Harford County and the State of Maryland. We can do this together as one Big Family. Let us not forget why we have this great place to meet, talk, and express our feelings. Thanks to the Veterans Past, and Present of our great Nation. "WE ARE FREE" and will continue to be "FREE". God Bless America, and the Red/White/and Blue.

Sincerley
Chuck Poplett, 3rd Vice Commander
