| Three nights dreaming of playing country n western music in Nashville Tennessee. I cant understand---my dreamcacther is locked in my desk draw so no light can get in yet these three slip by. After a fallout with that establishment over 5 years ago what could be up. It must be my Native American Music especially the flute but also including the drums, the singing and tamborines. Im landlocked in though. hey yay yay yay yay |

Hi John Block !
The Pow Wow was great. I liked all the excitiement and enthusiasm on Sunday 9/20/09 at FDR State PArk NY.
It was especially wonderful to see the New Zealand warriors represented and also the lovely Polynesian Dancers, so very grace full !! Their hands and arms were so lovely and expressive. I loved the fact that the drumming was live, the music pieces were varied and different and that all the dancers knew the songs, when to lift their arms up, and when to stop !!
I enjoyed the fact that you used a circle to display all the vendors, staging the dancers in the center, and there was ample parking, large crowds and there was seating and picnic tables.
BRAVO, well done!!

| I SAW A NATIVE AMERICAN CHILD EATING MAIZE WHICH HE DID UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF HIS MOM---ANOTHER CHILD SANG IN SPANISH---UNOS BASTA DUOS BASTA TRES BASTA QUATTRO BASTA---IN ANOTHER VEIN; wholistic food---wholistic medicine---NATIVE AMERICAN FOOD----NATIVE AMERICAN MEDICINE-----MAKES A LOT OF SENSE...THEN A COWBOY TOLD ME TO RIDE SIDESADDLE BUT I DISMOUNTED FROM MY HORSE AND WALK AMONGST THE INDIANS. FURTHER A MAN CALLED MY LOVE A HALF BREED AND I WANTED TO REMOVE HIS TONGUE. THEN A YOUNG DANCER SAID COME AND DANCE AND I SAID I HAVE TO KEEP FILMING. SHE SAID TO ME YOU WANTED TO BE AN INDIAN FREE OF TECHNOLOGY AND NOW YOU ARE A SLAVE TO YOUR MACHINE CAMERA. AND THE NEXT DAY AFTER THE POW WOW AT FDR PARK I HEARD FLUTES, DRUMS TAMBORINES AND SINGING WAS IT REAL OR AN HALLUCINATION. I STILL HAVE CHILLS RUNNING DOWN MY SPINE HEARING THE MEXICAN NATIVE AMERICAN DANCERS DOING THE FIRE DANCE ACKNOWLEDGING THE END OF THE WORLD. I WAS WAITING FOR GOD TO COME AND TAKES US INTO THE SKY. soledad sanchez and i frank stola had the grandest of times at the fdr pow wow. |
