Hello friends. Thanks for a wonderful stay with you last month. It was our pleasure to stay at your beautiful hotel and enjoy your warm hospitality, excellent restaurant, and, of course, beautiful Junaghad. Thanks for your kindness and care. Staying with you was the nicest accommodation experience we had during our four weeks in India. Beautiful Gujarat and our friends at the Releif Hotel--we hope to return in the future. All the best to you from your friends in Alaska, Brigid and Harry Dodge

We stayed at the Relief Hotel in December. The hotel is economical but very comfortable and clean, slept there with no problems. features are basic but you are mostly going to sleep in a hotel anyway. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMENT THIS HOTEL AND USE IT AGAIN.
The best thing about the hotel is the staff who treat you like a family member. They are incredible. They told me what prices to expect incase we got ripped off because we were tourist. Even better than that instead of giveing directions, they took me to change money and other places.
You can stay at other hotels and get more features but you will never get the service as in Hotel Relief.

Just left the relief hotel - what a pleasant stay I had - Uncle-Ji was very helpful to me as a lone female traveller and made sure I was home safely every evening. The rooms are clean and just now being decorated so thats always good to know. Lots of good information is provided and they even got me and indian adaptor (and Indian prices and not tourist prices!!) so much reccomended. Good luck to all travellers.

When I checked my mail this morning to see Jude had found The Relief Hotel’s website, I had an immediate wave of nostalgia and a longing to return to one of the most meaningful experiences in my life. Faayaz it has been a long time since we spoke, I know you said never to say thanks but your support, warmth, kindness and time made a very special time for Jude and I - we’ll never forget it. My warmest greetings to you and your family.

On another note - anyone passing through Junagadh must stay at The Relief Hotel!

My friend and I stayed here in 1998 and are indebted to the kindness and hospitality of the staff at the hotel. Our stay was very comfortable with the rooms clean and pleasant. Faayaz tirelessly helped us trace the village where my friend’s grandfather had lived, unmarked on any maps, and without his help this would have happened. As a result we both have very special memories of our stay.

If you dare, climb Mount Girnar. Its not easy but its worth it. Just make sure you have no plans for the next two days as your legs will need the recovery time!

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in December 2005. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately whilst in Junagadh I became quite ill (probably from a restaurant in town). The staff at the hotel were enormously helpful in arranging prompt good quality medical care for me locally, helping with arranging transport and being generally supportive. I am still very grateful to them for this.

Gujurat is the best state in India. It has the friendliest, most genuine people. With very few tourists, unlike neighbouring Rajasthan but so much more to offer!

Junagadh is a wonderful town in Gujurat. It is the place to stay when visiting Girnar Hill; a wonderful temple studded mountain, sacred to the Jain people & one of my best experiences in India [where I have travelled for a year, so have had many wonderful experiences!]

& From Junagadh you can head down to the Gir Forest, home of the LAST wild asiatic lions - an experience not to be missed! so wonderful.

I will always remember the way everyone at the Relief Hotel cared & made my stay safe & happy. Faaiz, Mr Sorathia, Didi & of course the lovely Mrs Sorathia too. I stayed at the Relief Hotel during the big Gujurat earthquake in 2001. I had become very ill already but they realised & took me to a good doctor. They saved my life, then they looked after me until I was well again. These people are the salt of the earth & they care for you like your own family. I will always recommend Relief Hotel most highly to anyone who is visiting Junagadh. & I will always recommend Junagadh & Gujurat to anyone visiting India!

I travelled a lot in India (6 trips for 2-3 months)and Relief Hotel is one of the best places I ever been to ; nice clean room, good service...But the most important is that the owners really care for their their guests ; in many places, especially tourist hot spots, the hotel owners just pretend to be nice, but in reality they are only in it for the money. Mr. Sorathia and his younger brother are very helpful and can give all the information wanted. And they are always in for a chat with some chai....
