Hi All,This book is a one stop shop, do your home work and try to find a job where you can fly home for a few days as the job is hot and long, if ur a kiwi, then Queensland is a great place, don’t drink, don’t gamble, or do chemicals, and you can save ship loads of love spelt m. o. n. e. y. Do bring ur laptop and hook up with Telstra with their wireless modem ($149) on their prepay plan ($30 will get u thru a mth)Look at bringing a USB extention lead as the reception may not be good, as you can hook up the modem outside. You may have a slow conection or none at all depending on where you are.

Hi to everyone, glad to hear about people getting jobs...good luck to all!!
I got a job working in a mining camp...very comfortable place to live, miners are really friendly and up for a chat.
All I had to do was e-mail my resume to the mining camp company...I did not even apply for a job, and a week later they offered me a position.

Thank you for your support Ross, it has been really helpful (and encouraging!)
Happy mining to all
Sophia

this book gets straight down to the basics. i’ve been trying to get work over the internet for 3 years with no result. i got ross’s book, did exactly the same as he did, walked into the ****** office in ******* and had a job the next day. if you want a mining job, this book lays it all out for you nice and simple.

Hello All, great little book to help point you in the right direction when looking for mining companies to approach when you arrive in Western Australia. The website links are also important as I registered with the ****** website and had a job offering after about 10 days but had to decline it as I was already working for ***** Mining and things have been great.(I was made aware of ****** Mining from your book).
cheers, John

Hi Ross

I purchased your book for my son who was working in Auckland earning $14.50 per hour. He is now living in ******* and is earning $40.00 per hour in the mines. He arrived in ******* on the Wednesday - went into a recruitment agency on the Friday and was working in the mines the following Monday 5 days later - he had not even been there a week. Thank you for putting this book together it was a great help - cheers Annette
