Hi Beefy,
I’d love a voice drop from you mate. As you would be aware there are a few already on air. Something as follows will do-
Hi this is Beefy(job)From(name of home town)in the UK.
I listen to the BEST MIX WORLD WIDE on Station X.
Please use the best quality mike and bitrate you can find. Iphone mikes are pretty good. I need mp3 format please.
You can play around with it a little to suit your personality but that is the important stuff please. I’ll run it on the station with the others.
Thanks for the kind words! It’s a tuff gig internet radio. "Deliver" the word to the masses please ;)
Cheers

Thanks Arnoud,
You might like to visit the links page here. There are two streams for non AAC+ players. One is 24k mp3 for dialup users. Then there is the 128k for those with the bandwidth and want the quality. The 64k stream must be the one you are on. It’s the only one I use AAC+ on.
If you compare it to the 128k there is only a little drop in top end sharpness! With only HALF the download.
With 128k (as I’m aware) there is no benefit in using AAC+. So I don’t. I see some stations using higher than 128k to me this is not worth it.
All audio files here are waves for audio quality reasons. That’s a bonus for when you re encode to lower bitrates and even higher.
Thanks for the kind words. Nice to hear!
Regards

I’m not 100% sure anymore, but I think my Australian friend came up with your station. It is now programmed as a pref in all my musicpal’s at home and laptop at work. Super music and more different songs than the regular Dutch or Belgium stations on air.
Keep up the good work ! Love it.
Arnoud
P.S A non AAC+ stream (straight mp3) would be nice to feed directly in non AAC+ players |

Thanks James,
You are spot on. I think that is the best point for an internet station. You need to find an angle that works world wide. I battle with the thought of running syndicated shows from UK and US. They bring a flavour to a station that I like. But I like to think Station X presents itself "as seen from down under" mostly.
I’m not sure about the song you mentioned. Any more info?
