Well done James and the band. A great result for the end of an eventful year. It just shows we can do it when we put the required effort in. An fab result for James ’the stick’ Burns. (d) |

Hi Everyone,
Just a short message to say well done on your result yesterday, and to your new conductor,(Know the feeling on your debut contest) Sorry we could’nt be there to cheer you on, but we were busy competing at the South East Wales Championship contest 2nd section in Treorchy, we played " Kaleidoscope" by Phillip Sparke, and had a 3rd, so our heads were probably as sore as yours this morning, but really pleased to hear of your progress.
Hope to visit you again next year.
Best wishes for christmas and the new year!
Kerry Bowden

Well done EVERYONE! Very proud of all of us, and James bless you hun you did us VERY PROUD!You see troubles are just troubles and bands like this and players like us who form a group and can make a sound are far and few between, as Ivor says ’they don’t like it up em!’ The comaraderie is still there and we still believe, like kids and Santa. Stythians will be here for another 80yrs and the rest long after we have departed..Lets carry on, go forward and have fun too along the way! Remember our motto? Who are we doing it for? US!!! Luv u all Liz
On a separate note, Well done Pillowell! Have left you a message too. Good bandsmanship and respect both ways, like it should be..maybe we should do a swap session or a mass band event in the future? Positive stuff You know!xx |
